Zymurgist Borealis September 2010 meeting

We've been having a beautiful extended autumn this year and in continued on Saturday with a nice sunny day.

There was a bit of a breeze and a chill in the air to remind us that winter is not far off but was still a glorious day.

The day was even better because we have our annual Septemberfest meeting at the Chena Pump Campgrounds.

Folks came a went as the day progressed but we had a total of about 20 or so people during the day's festivities.

Good food and drink shared amongst friends. It doesn't get much better than that!

I'm glad everybody could make it!!

Below are some pictures of this year's Septemberfest meeting:

A beautiful blue sky on a beautiful sunny day.

This is the requisite picture of the roaring fire. It was not really "roaring" at this point but later it was quite a nice fire.

Here is my Hop-O-Matic filled with 4 oz. Simcoe hops. I used the plans and instructions at the following URL: http://www.maltosefalcons.com/clubgear/hash-back-aka-moormanator as a guide. Since I was already using a filter modified to filter beer the modification was fairly straight forward or so I thought when I first started the project. At any rate, as those present at the meeting will attest to it works quite well in infusing hop character into the beer.
